LCA Supports Children All Around the World
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
``Together, we are creating a world without type 1 diabetes.``
Join us in our Walk for a Cure for Juvenile Diabetes on November 15, 2015, in Wilmington, NC. Join a community working toward the common goal of creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). And every dollar you raise will help fund life-changing therapies for the millions of people who never get a break from the daily burden of T1D. The more money we can raise, the sooner we will all reach our shared goal of turning Type One into Type None.
``Team Cavie`` will be walking to show support for LCA student Logan Cavanaugh who was diagnosed with TID at the age of 9. Now at 14 years old, he knows the daily hardships of living with T1D and is eager to help raise money to find a cure. Show your support for Logan by walking with him or sponsoring his walk.
``Releasing Children From Poverty in Jesus' Name``
``Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.`` - Proverbs 19:17
Loving on children is at the heart of LCA. That is why we thoroughly enjoy sponsoring several children through Compassion International.
Feeding the 5,000
``Ending global hunger one bowl at a time.``
Miss Jessica Halso is our representative for Feeding the 5,000. She has been to Nicaragua numerous times to deliver plastic bowls, cups, and spoons to the children there. Sadly, these are a luxury item in third world countries.
